NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance (NETRA) celebrated its 14th Raising Day on 3rd February 2022.

Shri Gurdeep Singh CMD, Shri Ujjwal Kanti Bhattacharya, Director (Projects) and other senior officials of NTPC were present.

Shri Shaswattam CGM highlighted milestones and gave a snapshot of various ongoing and completed projects of NETRA.

Shri Gurdeep Singh hoisted the NTPC flag on the occasion.

This was followed by NTPC Geet, Cake cutting ceremony and release of balloons.

On the occasion, CMD and Director (Projects) also released the design document of Pneumatic Ash handling systems, NETRA Compendium and a NETRA Journal.

In his address CMD appreciated the efforts of team NETRA and suggested that NETRA should become an enabler platform for all the innovation, research, new technology and demonstration centre where we can join hands with not only the best institutes in the country but also across the world.

He further said, “I think with everyone's combined effort, we can make NETRA as an Island of Excellence for Energy".

Shri Ujjwal Kanti Bhattacharya, Director (Projects) in his address said “NETRA being the eye into the future for the company, we must look into the emerging and new technology areas to be the front runner and first mover to learn, assimilate and bring back the learnings to the company for implementation.”

CMD and Director (Projects) visited various labs and PSA based Oxygen production and Bottling Plant. They were accompanied by CGM (NETRA) and other senior officials of NETRA. Shri A K Das GM (NETRA) proposed a Vote of thanks,

Shri M K Srivastava, ED (Engg), Shri Sudip Nag, ED (Biomass), Shri Mohit Bhargava, ED (RE) were present on the occasion. Tree plantation was also done to mark the occasion.

The program was held following COVID protocols.
